“Modular feeding system unveiled at Interpack
Packaging machine supplier Lead Packaging has launched a new modular feeding system which is said to provide increased flexibility.
Introduced at Interpack last month, the system features plug and play integration of different types of feeding systems with basic packaging lines. The company showcased various machines that use the modular feeding concept and demonstrate improved flexibility.
For example, Lead Packaging’s case packers allow manufacturers to swap a Beckhoff XTS cutting edge grouping system (reaching speed of four meters per second) and replace it with a more conventional feeding system.
Meanwhile, the company’s MKH-4 high speed end load cartoner also offers similar flexibility of swapping the feeding system.
This is also suitable for customers, including food companies, that package a specific product in different ways (for example, lying down in some cases and standing up in other).”
